I was informed by RCI that our account was cancelled by TLC (Fiore Las Vegas) resort! And that RCI would charge us a "reinstatement fee" to reactivate the account.

What is going on? We paid Fiore TLC around $9000+ for our RCI Platinum membership (and our first year's RCI maintenance Fee of around $1200) and now we can't access our RCI accout! The Fiore Travel Rep (name omitted), gave us inaccurate information regarding our ability to be reimbursed for our maintenance fees by Advantage Travel during his sales presentation at Fiore Travel in Las Vegas. Perhaps word got back to TLC from Advantage Travel that I complained about this Fiore Rep and either he or someone at TLC decided to cancel our RCI account in retribution?

I'm extremely angry and will go to any means necessary if this does not get resolved to my satisfaction very soon. Worst case I expect to have access to the RCI account that we paid for in full. Best case, provide us with a complete refund of all moneys paid to TLC and RCI for this account and cancel everything. It has been nothing but a hassle for us to attempt to be reimbursed only a portion of our maintenance fee for one or our resorts and zero for the second resort.

We were told by the Fiore Rep that we would be able to be reimbursed for the full amount for both resorts. This is the only reason we agreed to purchase-in hopes that in 9 years we would recoup the $9000 paid to TLC.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Monetary Loss: $10500.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

TLC Resorts Cons: Extremely full of lies and fraudulent.

I purchased in Orlando and I worked with a man there named Andy Richards. He explained EVERYTHING to me, including the fact that some people have complaints about TLC.

Reading these complaints and I believe the vast majority of these have nothing to do with the program its self. Most of this sounds like simple clerical errors or misunderstandings.As far as not being able to reach anyone, I have already tested that and I have never had a problem reaching TLC customer service at 866.515.0894.

I simply do not believe that no one can be reached to resolve these problems. Andy also gave me his cell phone number and has returned my calls every time I have text him.

Why not complain about Fiore then instead of TLC? It kills me seeing these posts about TLC and maintenance fees.

TLC does not have a maintenance fee. It is not a timeshare.Further, RCI membership is initially $298 for the first year and only $179 per year after that if you choose to remain a Platinum member.

I have to agree! There was absolutely nothing "hidden" in the paperwork I signed.

I bought in Orlando and everything was explained to me throughly. There is a guy there named Andy that took the time to explain everything to us, and I mean everything.

He even gave us his personal contact info in case we had questions. I could not ask for more.

That is a very unkind comment. Do you work for Fiore or TLC?We read the contract and all was fine until RCI told us that TLC cancelled our membership that we had paid for (per our contract)!We were also given the personal phone number of our Fiore rep but he wouldn't return our calls.

You need to report them to the Federal Trade Commission 1-20*-***-****. We reported them last night. They told us to call the Consumer Protection Office in Las Vegas as well 1-84*-***-****

We are having the same experience. Calling today to try to get answers. Our account was also cancelled but they continue to take out fees.

Would you mind keeping me posted about what your able to work out with TLC? I left a message for Fiore/TLC asking them to return my call at my phone#.

Instead of calling me back, they called my husband at his office and then proceeded to tell him that they didn't have record of our account and that we needed to contact Fiore (which is who we contacted in the first place). TLC has two locations in Las Vegas both with the same phone #. I also called the salesperson on his cell # that he gave us during his sales pitch. He didn't answer and didn't call me back.

I found him on Facebook and noticed that he has several comments from people stating that they've been trying to get in contact with him for a long time and asking him to give them an updated phone# (which he did in one of his replys-same # that I have). Anyway, we are now working with our credit card company- reporting the company as fraudulent, disputing the $ we've lost to them- and it sounds like they are going to reimburse us.
